The Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) has issued Announcement No. Por. 5/2569 on the guidelines for project progress reporting, revising the reporting schedule under the e-Monitoring system to a quarterly basis, four times a year, effective from 30 March 2026.
Under the new rules, BOI-promoted companies must report project progress for the March, June, September, and December quarters, and submit each report within 60 days after the end of the relevant quarter through the e-Monitoring system.
For projects that receive promotion certificates during a quarter, the first report must be filed in the next reporting quarter.
First Reporting Deadline
For the first quarter under the new framework, companies must submit their project progress report no later than 31 May 2026. Any existing promotion certificate condition requiring reporting in February and July of each year will be cancelled and replaced by the new quarterly reporting requirement.
Consequences of Late Reporting
If a company fails to submit its report within the prescribed period, its access to rights and privileges under the BOI system will be automatically suspended. Once the company submits the required information, access will be restored automatically. However, if the company fails to report for two consecutive periods, its rights and privileges may be revoked.
